To Shaing Mai!

Today was a bit easy for me. I reckon if I take things slower now I'll be worth more on the 3day trek in Shiang Mai. We left the hotel around midday and had a brunch in the small streets of China Town. I decided to go back to the hotel and sleep some more while Kenzie made a little tour along the Chao Phraya River.

At 4pm we packed our belongings and left the River View Hotel. We had to catch a bus at 5ish near the train station. A fast Tuk Tuk drove us to the pickup point and the bus finally arrived at 6pm. The ride was good. We had the top front seats and had a good view on the road and the surroundings. To bad it was dark. The bad thing was the speakers and TV where right next to my head, maybe 2 inches away from my eye sockets. Gladly the bus driver was a gentle driver, so I had no fear loosing an eye on a breaking manoeuvre. So after enduring the loud Thai music and the Thai dubbed movie we could finally drift away into the night. The cold night, the shivering night. Everyone was tucked away under a comfy woolen blanket while the aircon was blowing away. Sigh... In about 11hours we will be in Shiang Mai!
